Level 1 IT Staging Technician (Desktop Imaging & Deployment)
Location: Client site – Northwest Side of Indianapolis, Indiana
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours per week)
Assignment Type: Temporary – 6 months
Pay Rate: $17.50–$18.00 per hour
Position Summary
We are seeking a Level 1 IT Staging Technician for a six-month temporary assignment at a client location on the Northwest Side of Indianapolis. This role supports the desktop lifecycle process, including imaging, wiping, staging, and shipping desktop and laptop equipment. This is a hands-on, onsite role ideal for candidates with entry-level IT experience who are dependable, detail-oriented, and eager to grow their technical skills.
Responsibilities
Image and configure new desktop and laptop systems using standard deployment procedures
Wipe and reimage returned or redeployed equipment in compliance with security standards
Stage desktops and peripherals for end-user deployment
Package, label, and prepare equipment for shipping or onsite distribution
Receive and inventory incoming hardware shipments
Perform basic hardware setup, testing, and verification
Track equipment accurately using established processes and documentation
Follow all client security, safety, and operational guidelines
Work collaboratively with internal teams in an on-site environment
Qualifications
Entry-level (Level 1) experience in IT support, desktop staging, deployment, or hardware handling
Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems and desktop/laptop hardware
Familiarity with imaging, wiping, or deployment tools (or willingness to learn)
Ability to follow written procedures and technical documentation
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to lift and move computer equipment (up to approximately 40 lbs)
Reliable attendance and punctuality for a full-time onsite role
Professional communication skills and a customer-service mindset
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in an IT staging, deployment, or technical warehouse environment
Experience supporting corporate or enterprise IT operations
Basic understanding of asset management or inventory tracking systems
